question on wheel sizes

friend of mine who races rhinos offered me 14 inch itp beedlocks (2 races on em) with the maxxis motocross tires( one race on em) for 500 bucks. with the heavier wheel how much of a performance loss will i get vs a set of 12's. also what benifits are the 14's vs the 12's?

The 14" wheels are heavier. The 14" wheels are closer to the ground and more prone to damage from a rock. The tire selection is not very good for a 14" wheel.

i bought em. i got the hcr spindles and can't run the stock wheels so for the price i couldn't turn it down. i'll keep my stock wheels and spacers in case i blow out a tire. =)

14"Tire selection sucks but is growing. the added weight and height of course will rob a couple of horsepower. if you are riding on hard surfaces then it's not as noticable as sand. I have both 12 and 14's but It's cuz i got 14 first,I do run the 14's when i'm trail riding.
