Talking K&N air filter horsepower gain??

Hi Is there a horsepower gain by putting in a K&N Filter and taking off the lid? If so anyone know an average of how much?

Not alone... You will need an exhaust and jetting work... Then the gain is minimal.

minimal gains, but it does help. I prefer the open 63-1119 kit and remove the airbox altogether.

If you do the open lid setup, then you should get a oil breather catch can setup also.

Max powers has the part number for the Honda one.

Lightbulb K&N

Well I ended up jetting getting it done.. they put it on the Dyno and I went from 22 to 26 HP.. plus 4hp and a 16% gain isnt bad for a tune and K&N filter!

BTW Weller is awesome! probably the best Rhino wrench in arizona if not the US! I think his racing team backs this up for him! thanks again Jason.. your a stone cold MF'n pimp!

You didnt say anything about taking it to the Wellers.... That is a different story. Jason can work magic. Good choice.
