Highest H.P. on stock carb?

What is the most power you guys have seen out of a stock carb n/a? I know the fcr and 45 will make more but I was just curious about the stocker.Any engine combo as long as its n/a no turbo or superchargers.

I have a 686 kit running the stock carb and hit 47.5 on the Weller dyno. Good throttle response no back firing, I'm happy but when I can I will go to the 45.

47.5 hp or mph? if that is the horse power that is very impressive!

Does a dry clutch like the PDM and BRONCO have a big effect on wheel H.P.? Because 47 is very impressive especialy with a stock carb.

I've heard it's a huge difference

I have a hard time believing that much hp from a 686. It might be I just dont know what is possible but that is a huge jump with just a 686. Stock is around 29hp.

Where is Rog he would know if it is possible.

I mean even with the dry clutch, that would have 12hp more than my 686? must be a high compression engine on race fuel or something.

If I remember correctly, Court (azcourt) did dyno runs with dry clutches and it posted very nice gains just swapping from wet to dry.

I was talking to a few people and I should be around 47hp with a 10.5 compression piston and on pump gas. But thats with a 45 carb. 47 is pure speculation i havn't dynoed it but I did have it tuned by useing the port in the header.

I'm curious to see the compression he's running and if he has the stock carb bored out to a 41 or somthing. If not thats damn impressive.

I thought stock hp was 19. Atleast thats what I was told.
