Won't idle

Sorry, but I have another question. My rhino idles fine when the choke is on, but as soon as I turn it off, it dies. Do I need to adjust the idle? The fuel filter is fine. No money to take it to a mechanic. I am hoping it is something simple I can handle. Thanks.

You might want to pull your carb and clean it especially if its been sitting for awhile.

If it is running fine other than the idle,Try adjusting it before you take the thing apart. It's the thumbscrew on the drivers side of the carb.

Thanks for the advice. It sounds like I am going to have the carb cleaned. Since I have to do that, should I re-jet it? The only mod I have done to it was the CDI box. Any suggestions on what I should get? Thanks.

Let me quess, it wouldn't idle after you put the cdi box in? Very common, Adjusting the idle will fix the problem but jetting would be the way to go.

I would only rejet if you install an aftermarket intake and exhaust.

Since you did install the CDI box I would highly recommend a machined sheeve to bring your rpm's down when at top speeds... otherwise... kaboom!

Search around the performance threads to find info on what intake and exhausts to choose.

I messed around with the idle screw, but that did not help much. Looks like I will re-jet it. Any idea what I should replace the stock ones with?

I think the stock jet is a 142... go up from there... I can't imagine you would need to go much higher if you haven't changed the intake and exhaust from stock.

Just a question... is you air filter clean?
