Best exhaust for a 686

I hear so much about how the stock exhaust w/ a tip out performs so many after market ones who has the scoop on the dynos and is this true or is there a real one that works and is not too loud?

as far as a stock motor goes,,, the modified stock exhaust/header is just as effective as any other exhaust as far as im concerned, especially when you factor in cost.

for modified motors (686, cam, port & polished head),,, the modified stock exhaust/header will perform well, but not as good as an aftermarket dual set-up or ron woods exhaust.

ron woods would be your best bet for a built motor imo.

has anyone dyno proven that the ron woods puts out more power then a set of duals on a built motor?
I know that some shops like the woods and some shops like the dmcs?? I know the woods kit is awesome for a bolt on kit but what about on motors with stuff done to them??

Always wondered that.

For the 700- dyno tests show that the duals out perform it. I even talked to the guys at Ron woods and they said they didnt see the gains on the 700 like they did the 660.

we need max to go get some dino sheets and post them up on the 660 and 686 I have seen that the woods is better but I guess we need the dino proof to show the results

THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE FASTER

what i like about the woods is how durable it is, it wont rattle apart under heavy abuse.... i think the woods puts out similar power to the duals, which is saying something for a single. but i dont think it puts out more power than the duals.

dont buy my video. it sucks anyway!!!!

I dont know that I would say that. I was reccomended to goto the woods pipe on my new build knowing that I have duals........If I did I would have to take the woods logo off....I cant stand that fucker
