WOT maximum RPM on a 06 660

I have an 06 660 with a Hunterworks CDI, performance sheave, and K&N air filter installed and was wondering what the top end RPM should be on a flat surface? I am getting a reading of about 5200 rpm currently.

Waht kind of tach are you using????

and what mph are you seeing now?

you should be close to 8K or so.

You are tapped out at 48 ? Not tryin to talk shit but that's slow with a cdi only you should be about 50 I would say. Sheave should put you up around at least 55 plus what sheave and weights are you using ?

I am unsure of the weights used as the sheave was on there when I purchased it. I could pull it a part to check on the size. There is 61 hrs on the machine and only 40 hrs on the new belt (double cog style). I am running 26x11x14 Terra Cross tires and the only other mod is a performance tip on the exhuast with the screen removed. Does have Iridum spark plug though. Also have replaced the fuel filter.

I would say the 26's is the reason your running 48....As someone esle said your tach may not be reading correct with the cdi

So this is what I should expect from using this size tire assuming everything else is in order. Is reducing tire size the only option to pick up on the speed with out doing work inside the engine?

I'm not sure on this one someone meet say I'm wrong but you meet be able to go a diff weight combo to get the rpms up. I ran 13g where stock is 15gs or right around that. Lower the weight the more rpm b4 the shift out of weights, it worked on my 06 more bottom end and about 60 on top
