Msd ?

Which setting should I use for a stock engine. 8000RPM rev limit or 8000RPM and 4 degree advanced timing. My car is a 2009 700 with an Unleasshed clutch kit and sheave.

Use the one with 4 degrees of advance.

Absolutly Not; It'll pull harder from 0-50 mph.
If you run crappy gas & run the engine pass 7000 rpm, you could detonate the piston,( or pinging ), but I wouldn't run a stock rod pass 7000 rpm anyways.

Uh No it does not.

run 0 advance. no detonation

7K ain't nothing for a rhino motor.

in the dunes I keep my clutch tuned for no more than 7800 rpms with premium fuel and 11:1 686 with stock rod and crank, over 1500 miles on it.

Now I have a race clutch on it and runs 8300 rpms with everything else the same, and 4 full races, plus practice and qualifying on it.

you want correct answers, then ask someone who actually knows, call Benchmark Performance, Weller racing, or the Proshop.
