08 Rhino 700 - Won't idle and hard starting

I live in Costa Rica, about 100 miles from the Yamaha Dealer. I shipped my Rhino here from the US. It ran fine for about 1500 miles. Now it won't idle when you come to a stop and it is very hard to start and dies. It will run down the road ok. I went through the onboard diagnostics and found no fault codes. The sensors checked out ok. I pulled the spark plug, it looked ok. I took off the gas cap and air filter element, but it still ran the same? Help! Anyone have any good suggestions?

What fuel are you running? Try a higher octane fuel, may just be low grade fuel causing the problem. Also, check your fuel filter it may be clogged.

there is no fuel filter on the 700....just a fuel pump strainer in the tank...... check your valve adjustment.......
ngk 9198 CPR7EAIX-9 iridium .......try this one for the 700 it helps with starting...........

hard to start!!!!

my 700 starts fine but idles to high found out that there is a valve that is bolted to the throttle body called the ICS valve when closed makes it it idle to fast. i bet yours is stuck open which will make it to hard to start and stay running the bad news is that to fix this you have to buy a new throttle body!!!!!! and that sucks !!!! so check that out hope it helps

Noticed after posting that it was an old post. I swapped out my spark plug today and it fired right up.
