07 660 sputtering problems

I have been struggling with sputtering, I have aftermarket air fliter, new fuel filter, new fule pump. Running with the engine cover off if I lighlty press down on the ir intake tube on the top of the air box the sputtering goes away and it runs fine????

Any suggestions? Is the carburator that sensitive to movement on the intake side? Any similar experiences out there?

sounds like the intake boot from carb to head is split. they are known for that

I'm stayin neutral here, but you DID report kyle's post to admins.
that might work at rf, but not here, not even if johnny asked me to remove
kyle's post would I do it.that is on principal alone.

Yes on the plug it is new, I will check the intake boot again, have looked it over once and it seemed fine.

I also found a crack in the gray breather line that attaches to the drives side top of the air box that looks like to goes to the crank case or somewhere else on the motor, any thoughts on this causing the sputtering?

also possible dirt in carb clogging the jet or float sticking.

Carb has been cleaned several times and the float seems fine after each cleaning, I think the main jet is a 145? How could holding the intake down effect the jetting? Never heard of that one but I am open to anything. Any recommendations on what the main jet should be for this set up?
