Bought a Turbo

I have purchased a Turbo Specialities kit for my 660. If anyone is running one of these and has any tips, they would be appreciated. As a matter of fact, anyone using a turbo of any brand would be helpful.

I have a tip for you, BUT, you aren't going to like it.
turbo specialties is the absolute worst thing you could put on your rhino and you WILL grenade your motor NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO with it.
take it or leave it, but I only speak from experience.

might want to look into adding some sort of a blow off valve so its not always under boost- if you plan on keeping it.

my buddies supercharged rhino has one and runs good for now.

the tuning on it is going to be a pain in the ass thou. I would sell it or return it and just build the motor instead if I was you.

Cant we all get along? lol

Thanks guys. You did not hurt my feelings. That is why I asked for your advice. Knowing things like this helps when going into an area where you have never been before. Max, are you saying that Turbo Specialities is the problem or just turbos in general? Keep it coming.

turbo's in general on a carberated 660 have not produced great results.
mcx claims to have a good kit, but I have only seen them on rzr's
I have seen multiple engines that have greneded from a turbo specialties kit in particular, so I would say it was the worst one you could get.
if you switch to a fuel injected system, you would have better results.

How do you add EFI to the 660? Can you retrofit it from the new ones?

probably easier to sell your motor and buy a 700 with efi, but I know of someone on glamisdunes that has a rhino efi system.
