Popping Noise Help

I have a 2008 Rhino 700fi, it now has 1300 miles on it and it started to making some popping noises coming from some where in the rear. It makes the noise when i let off the gas and sometimes when just keeping it steady (while moving). pulled axle out thinking it could be the splines slipping and they look fine. Trying to locate the sound is near impossible do to the fact that the vehicle is on and moving. Any suggestions?

I had to replace a boot awhile back and everything was fine then, but inbetween your post and mine I was looking at the shaft from the motor to the rearend and there is a small rubber piece that fits over the shaft by the parking break (I'll post a pic) it wasn't in place and I moved it back into place and began to drive it and it wasn't making the "popping" noise. I wouldn't think that was the problem but I'm going to keep testing it I know there is alot of threads about popping noises so I'm really curious to find the answer. I will also check the exhaust.
