660 vs 700 bore and stroke?

Ok, since the 700efi is basically a 660 with a 686 overbore and efi, why is it that the bbk and stroker kits I see are always bigger for the 700? Also, if you go with a 686 bbk, can you bore a 660 again? Are stoker cranks worth the expense and time performance wise and reliable?

No but I wish I did. Just love the band and use the same sign on for all my forums due to bad memory. I do have a 69 mach1 though.

not on the 660 based motor. the 700 has a better crank bearing setup.

yes if you go 686 on a 660, you can go one more with a benchmark performance 693 kit at 10.75:1 ratio. after that you would need a new cylinder. but at least it is not a one and done with 102mm bore.

this is why chris came up with this.
