Does this sound like a bad CDI?

I have a BRP C.D.I installed on my 660. I also have a BRP fuel pump, the owner I purchased from had hooked the fuel pump directly to the ignition, which I was informed by Black Rhino that was a big no go and probably alot of my problem.

Well my problems are the Rhino just doesn't run good, it was stalling and sputtering, missing like fuel system problems. Fuel system been COMPLETELY looked over, no troubles. Appear to be electrical.

So we re-wired the fuel pump to hold a constant 12v and that took care of the missing, stalling, sputtering, etc. Just as BRP technician told me...

However, I am still having very random performance problems. It runs real sluggish from time to time and even will show the reverse light on the console when driving. When that happens it gets REAL sluggish, like it's being governed in reverse or something. Seems to me the C.D.I. is flaking out.

Anyone got any opinions?

The reverse light coming on is what is making it run sluggish, it the reverse limiter. There is a switch on the trans for the light.

"I hope the porn channel in my room is disabled."

"No," she said, "it's just regular porn, you sick bastard."

but doesn't the CDI control the reverse limiter? What would the switch on the trans do for this?
