How 2 add low end power?

I have a 2005 rhino 660 with a few mods and I was wondering what I could do to add more low end power. I have seen some reviews and most of them discuss differnt things to do with the clutch. I really don't know much about engines and how to modify them but I am willing to learn about anything. Any pointers on how to upgrade my clutch or other tips of how to add more low end power would be greatly appreciated. thanks all

I got a Sheave from UTV Inc. and went to the 12gram greasless rollers with an orange spring. I gave up top end MPH but gained a lot of low end power. The RPM's are a bit high due to the light weights but my Rhino is very heavy and I needed the extra low end power for pulling the hills and such. Give Nick a call at UTV. Inc. I told him my situation and these were the mods he suggested for my needs, he'll do the same for you. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks for the information! I've never had any experience with UTV's and I would like to get my rhino running a little better. I just added a CFM air box, K&N airfilter, AC racing dual exhaust and a BRP CDI. I mosty use my rhino for hunting and just running in the hills here in West Virginia. But again thanks for the info and I see about the kit. BTW what would be the price of that type of modification?

Try this link to their web site. If you wanted the orange spring I'm sure they would exchange it for you. Call before buying to make sure this is the kit for your needs. Good luck.

Thanks man for all the help. Is there a cheaper way to help on the low end or is the $350.00 for the clutch kit a good deal?

I did mine in sections, bought the sheave by itself, added the spring later, then I just did the greasless weights. It was a trial and error thing. This is what I have found to work best for me. My rhino is a 4 seater, long travel with 26" tires... HEAVY. I needed the low end for hills and to do better in the dunes. I sacrificed the top end but I'm not a speed demon anyways. So for $350 I would say yes it's a good deal and should give you the results you are looking for. If not the only other way is to start do motor mods such as a 686 kit with a cam, port and polishing etc... looking at a couple grand like that. Don't just take my word for it call Nick tomorrow he's a lot better then me.
