06 660 cam troubles.
I have an 06 660 and it was at one point a 686.
Long story short, I needed a new cylinder, so I bought a stock 660 cylinder and piston and rings. I basically wanted to return it to stock.
After the rebuild it ran great... until the piston slapped the middle intake valve and bent the valve. I thought I just had the camshaft timing wrong, so I readjusted it after I got in the new valve. Today I ran it for about 10 minutes and it does the same thing again.
I don't know what I am doing wrong on getting this thing in the proper position. I read and followed the tech manual to the letter, but it still slaps the valve on the middle one.
So is there any other information or walk through that I can follow? Any experience of this happening? Thanks.
