2007 660 increase street top speed

Hi everyone,
I'm new here writing to you from the Netherlands.
I recently bought a 2007 Rhino 660 and although I enjoy every minute driving it, I got this "crazy" idea...
I use the Rhino for a great deal on the street driving to my flyfishing venue under construction; there I drive it on bare sand and grass. But nothing really requiring low gearing...or being very challenging for the Rhino.

Because my Rhino delivers plenty of power (may I call myself lucky?) I am at the top speed within 3/4 seconds. Top speed being 65 kmh / 40 mph.

My friend is driving a 2011 Yamaha Grizzly 550 which has a top speed of approx. 100 kmh / 62 mph but because of the gearing it takes considerable longer for him to get to that top speed.
My idea:
For some time I have been searching the net wondering if anybody has thought of putting the Grizzly gearbox on the Rhino engine.
They are basically identical, right?

Someone maybe has another idea how to change the rev/top speed relations I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance fromHolland.

the grizz difs are different and the clutch sheave (primary one) is different.

you can put the Grizz sheave on your rhino and gain 5-8 mph, then you can upgrade your stock CDI box (ignition) and get it to around 62-64 mph.

you want a grizz 660 sheave, this I know fits. easy to change.
then the Dynatek CDI.

you can get either of these from a few places.

Hi 07fj,
Thanks for the prompt reply and the information.
So my idea is not that crazy after all!
I will start looking for the Grizzly sheave, here in Holland it won't be available as there are hardly any Rhinos yet, but I will find a way.
Have a great weekend...go for a ride!
