An mid travel is plenty to get thru the whoops. You can use stock length shocks but I would go with some good after markets.

I started a thread on this a while back http://www.rhinotalk.net/forums/yama...ravel-kit.html
So far the only people that have anything good to say about them is CST & the company that's selling them. (NoLimitz)...I'm considering LT Kit's now and I think I'm going go with a trusted proven name. I talked to a rep from Lone Star and he said stock Rez Rhino shocks could be used with there Mid Travel kit They recommended revalveing them.
