Don't get me started KJ, there are not probs with LSR!!!!. BTW first trip for Blakes XMF he broke an axle too, so they all break sooner or later. ANd we have pics to prove it.

BUt I have heard many gorillas breaking on several diff kits, not worth the money IMO when LSR axles are warrantied.

lol

I know I have yet to really drive mine to be able to break anything yet.

I just hear of alot less breaks from xmf compared to lonestar
been through all the axle b.s

Either buy the $3000 gear one set-up or get some summer bros. axles from magnum offroad, use the stock cv's and that way you can change out the axle when/if it does break. The summer bros seem to be the best bang for the buck.

exactly, does not matter who's kit it is things break. Yep I had to wipe myself after that big air LMAO!!!!

So don't come on here and push XMF Kyle until you have followed these guys around for a season at their speed.

Max Powers puts his Mafia kit through hell and it hasn't broke either.

Goodtimes Launches that MT I-shock kit and it takes it just as well as others.

I'm A gorilla fan myself. Lsr may warienty their axles but you hear about them breaking more. Anytime your running a stock CV you are going to break more.

ya, but stock CV's are easy to come by and i keep some extras in the hauler...if you can swing it having a extra full rear setup both R and L and your golden, i still have never seen a F axle break.
I don't think the cv's have shit to do with axle breaks, everyone I seen break, breaks at the outer part of the axle where the clip groove is, including gorrillas.
Like blakeypoo says, carry a extra full rear set and your golden, with the stock cv's, you can switch them out on the fly. The gorrillas are next to impossible to remove without major hardware. My gorrillas lasted longer than gear one 300m's did, but I can't get the passenger side out without effen up the cv, so I have to buy a whole new gorrilla at $500 to solve that problem.
I ordered some funco 930's, but they are lagging, so I'm trying to talk myself into the gearone hubs
WELL: there you go ryan. gear one -or stock and still have to work on it. or new garilla and hope it works! I my self would go with the stock and get extra cvs when someone has them up for sale.
MAX: I called magnum offroad and summerbros has to make the axel for a 6.5 3weeks out
I beleve its the damm center pin to long but who knows it just sucks IF he missies the pismo trip AGIN becuse of an axel
Turbo, if they have come out enough times the inner hub (on the diff) may not have a sharp edge to it any more and they will continue to come out, as the clip cannot hang onto it any longer. you can die grind a new edge into it or replace if necessary.
this is the frist time this side came out. and it will not go in unless the clip is off the cv. it binds up and wont go in all the way and after hammering it in its verry hared to get out and i do mean hard like its all the way in!! now the axel splines where the clip for the cv to axel are f-up! and at no time sould you have to hit it so hard it f's-up the outer cv nut this has happened agin:mad:the only good part left is the iner cv now:mad:
