Just heard from the guys down at Chula Vista that the top 3 qualifiers are:

1st - Todd Arthur, The Flying Banana, Yamaha Rhino, Benchmark Performance Power :D
2nd - Bobby VanBeekum, Yamaha Rhino
3rd - Chad George, Kawasaki Teryx

I'll update the list as I get the info.

Hmmm
Yamaha 686
Yamaha 800 (according to Weller web site)
Kawasaki who knows. Aint this one a factory backed effort?

Nice work Chris, you build good stuff. Too bad "Hollywood" was out on his second job, it could have been all Yamaha.

Hollywood is there this morning. We'll see if he has the skills as he will be starting in the back of the field. (I bet he gets top 5)

Saturday Qualifying times:

1st - Todd Arthur - 1:06:221, Benchmark Power
2nd - Bobby VanBeekum - 1:07:317, Weller
3rd - Chad George - 1:07:844, Funco
4th - Corry Weller - 1:11:106, Weller
5th - Justin Vaughn - 1:11:548, Benchmark Power
6th - Jacob Person - 1:11:806
7th - Austin Kimbriell - 1:12:896
8th - Ron Attig - 1:13:511, Benchmark Power
9th - Robert Pecoy - 1:13:858
10th - Jimmy Benton - 1:4014
11th - Doug Mittag - 1:14:191, Mafia Polaris RZR

19 total qualifiers on Friday, several late arrivals this morning like Regis Harrington and Dan Kelly. Dan Kelly is racing a Teryx. Chad Mittag isn't on the qualifying list but his son qualified 11th.

Chad George just lost a right rear wheel in Saturday practice. Sounds like it possibly lost a hub nut.

UTV race starts in 30 minutes, at 12:20 pm.

NO CHAD MATTIG? I feel kinda bad for Chad, last time I talked with him he sounded drilled trying to get enough power out of that 800 to make it run up front. Maybe he's decided to stop the bleeding and concentrate on his kid.

Chris, you ever build an RZR engine?

I haven't done any RZR performance. Not sure that I ever will.
Trophy Karts are on the track now, running a little behind schedule.
