I am specifically looking for some info related to SOUND from an AC Racing dual exhaust. I know there are a few of you out there that have the AC Racing exhaust and I am hoping you may be able to help.
I have Two Brothers duals and other than them being too loud for forest trails and neighborhood riding, (who cares at the dunes ) they perform great and I have not had a single problem since installing them about a year ago on my 2006 686 motor. From day one, with factory packing and spark arrestors they have been loud. I ordered and installed quiet cores and that actually made it sound louder as it removed the deep throaty rumble and replaced it with a high pitched rat-a-tat.
I have listened to the YouTube clips with the [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GyRZDQ_9oA"]AC Racing[/ame] and [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZ97tVS44Ow"]Two Bros[/ame] sound clips, but from those, I cannot say the AC Racing sounds "quieter" even with the turn down ends.
Those of you that have or have heard AC Racing duals, what's your opinion. For those who don't, if you have a suggestion for duals that are quieter than the very loud Two Bros, let me know. My goal is not to fix something that ain't broke, but rather to get quieter.
